The Day The World Ended

On the day the world ended, no one saw it arise.
People already use to the conditions, did not realize today was their demise.
They readied themselves for the day that approached.
Yet none of them knew the day had approached.

The sky that was no longer a blue.
Had darkening storm clouds that carried a dark hue.
They brushed it off as it was a usual sight.
Yet none of them realized they would never see tomorrow’s light.

The storms began to display a horrifying scene.
The land that was their was no longer serene.
Many things began to topple over.
Yet people did not know that the world was going to be over.

The rain poured down, killing everything in sight.
The pollution killed everything else with its might.
Yet only those people who witnessed it were in fright.
Yet they were not long, for they could not give a fight.

The storm continued on throughout the day.
Yet no one knew today was there last day.
By the time it was noon, over half the world was gone.
Yet no one knew about it until the news came on.

Breaking news the screen flashed.
Half the world is gone in a brazen dash.
That is when panic appeared.
That is when they realized the end of the world neared.

No one was calm, not a soul in sight.
They tried to survive with all of their might.
Yet no one could of course.
After all it was the curse.

Today the world ended.
Yet I tell the fate of that day.
It was so long ago, I remember well.
Yet today, I am here and I never fell.

I told you the tale of the end of the world.
The day the leaves whirled.
The day the storm clouds appeared.
The end of the world neared.

That was the day the world ended...
